Standalone harness for l96 and 6l90e Hey guys. I was doing some reading. I ordered a standalone harness for my cab swap project that's supposed to run the l96 and 6l90e. While I was reading someone said something about the vats. Then I got to thinking. I drove the donor chassis around and moved it by starting and driving it then when I pulled the cab (left steering column in there) when I was trying to start it off the fuse box wires, I can't get the fuel pump to come on. Everything else comes on. Maybe I'm missing something. My ordered harness isn't here yet but I'm wondering. Do I need my ecm tuned to delete the vats? Or can I just run it? Or should I try that thing where you put this ecm in a known good vehicle and turn key on for 10 minutes 3 times then start it and unplug the bcm?
