Default Gen IV 434 + Mike Norris catch can?

I have a Mike Norris catch can on my LS1, but will it still be good with the Gen IV 434 that I am having built? The 434 is estimated around 725BHP on 91 octane, but I will be running E54 or E85, I would expect another 30-40BHP on E85.

Assuming you hook it up as a normal PCV can.... Best way is to hook it up and try it. But figured I'd share my battle with the factory sized PCV system on a bigger motor.

I went through some woes with my Mighty Mouse catch can and the normal 3/8" lines to the valve covers on my 418. Either oil would just go right through the can to the intake, or it was working its way down my intake rocker bolt threads into the intake ports. After sealing my rocker bolts, I would see about half to 3/4 a quart go down in 800 miles. Intake was still wet with oil.

Did a lot of research and talking with folks here and Mighty Mouse, ended up hooking a vacuum gauge to my dip stick hole and having my wife film the gauge while i did a 0-120 pull and we actually had a vacuum issue in the crank case, not a pressure issue. Which would imply an intake restriction (mamo ported FAST 102, not much more I can do to reduce restriction), as the vacuum is generated on the crank case from the intake manifold. The oil is stirred up at high RPM, sucking through everything. So I put a 1/8" restrictor between the intake manifold and catch can, which helped quite a bit but still had issues. Increasing the inlet of the PCV system or "fresh air" side as some folks like to call it from 3/8" to about 1/2" cut my oil consumption down even further, and more was in the can.

Then I bought a vacuum pump from a member here and that gets here Friday. My car sees a lot of 7000 RPM+ and road race duty soon so figured this was my best route.

Alternatively, you can just run the open breathers/breather can from both valve covers like a lot of folks do here. I had almost no oil consumption with this configuration, but it smells like crank case and I'd show up places smelling like the inside of an engine.

If your PCV/catch can setup is using 3/8 lines, it won't be enough to deal with crankcase pressure and blowby. I had issues with oil consumption and crankcase pressure with elite engineering catch can using standard 3/8 lines when i first installed 442 in my vette.
Ended up going with MM race setup -10AN line on the dirty side, and 3/8 on the clean side. Greatly reduced my oil consumption and no more issues with high crankcase pressure.

I was looking at Mighty Mouse yesterday. Those look to be pretty good quality. I am also going to have an upgraded oil baffle/windage tray and crank scraper, so that should greatly reduce the vaporized oil inside the crankcase.

Mine is for sale in the marketplace here if you want one. I have the parts to give you a 12 AN dirty side as well, provided you have holley valve covers.

I don't have Holley valve covers, and MM is recommending an oil fill port adapter for my build. Thanks though
