LS2 engine harness got burnt

LS2 engine harness got burnt As the title states,my LS2 engine harness out of my 06GTO got burnt,or more so charred . The hood was already off so the fuel fire was extinguished pretty fast . Some of my wires are raw( not burnt or black) and some connectors got melted. My question is how do I check to see if the harness is good ? I plan on pulling the harness and re tubing it/shrinking it. The harness is still pretty Malleable and moves freely. Also,how do I get the harness disconnected from the trans ( A4 trans) ?

Harness isn't too hard to pull and inspect. I would rather pull it, mark the burnt/damaged wires and go from there. Would be preferred to replace those wires with a new run if possible. Just tag all of the connectors prior to unplugging them so you know what they go to.
The trans plug should be round and you just need to squeeze it 180 out from both points to release it from the trans.
