If the intake is new or has all new gaskets, it does feel like you are going to damage or break something when you are tighten it down.

You are compressing the intake gaskets and the rope seal between the upper/lower pieces.

I spray WD40 on the cylinder heads before I put the intake on and use orange loctite on the bolts.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I was able to get my intake on with no problems. I cleaned the threaded bolt holes out and torqued them down in increments of 15 in lbs. until I got to 72in lbs.. I also added thread sealant on the bolts to prevent any kind of leaks, I'm hoping this will resolve my lean code issue I was having before I started this project. Everything worked out pretty good except for the fuel line that supply's the fuel rail. This piece is a pain to get on, I'm more than likely going to have to zip tie it to the fuel rails until I get some get some kind of aftermarket setup.
