Default Starter wire harness laying on SLP longtubes

First fbody and ls1 here.Bought a full SLP exhaust real cheap for my 99 ws6 .I know the slp Long tubes are a pain but I couldn’t beat the price. I got them in but I can’t seem to find a good spot for the starter wire harness as there is no slack. it’s extremely close if not laying on one of the primaries. I heard this can be a problem with these headers but haven’t found any good solutions. I’m open to any experience or suggestions! I wrapped the harness in heat tape before I installed the headers but I don’t think that’s enough. Thanks

You may have to extend the wiring harness to keep it safe. It's not a big deal; everything you need (copper battery cable extension tube, battery cable, solder, etc.) can be found at your local hardware store for probably $20.

Trust me, if that wiring harness is touching the exhaust ANYWHERE, it's going to cause you problems, even if you try insulating it.

^^^^^This. One thing about ANY wire, it can be cut, stripped, and spliced to ANY length. No matter what size or gauge it is.
