I am currently installing a 2013 L96 from a Express3500 van in my 93 BlazerSilverado 4x4. I’m having a hard time getting an answer for a simple question. Does the L96 6.0 have rear steam vents? The blogs are all over the map on this subject. I ordered a very nice kit that came with 4 pipes. Im guessing that the 2013 L96 does not use the rear steam vents do to the fittingings in the kit do not fit the rear. I tried online, went to GMPartsDirect and others, they no longer list any steam vent parts other than the vent to radiator hose. Oh and fyi, most of the kits for the after market steam vents do not include oring’s or the gasket oring combination.
On my 2010 and 2012 L92's they only have the front steam vent. One thing I do is cut off the right side nipple and then drill and tap for 1/8 NPT. Then using -3/4 SS brake line I add a 1/8" port to the radiator.
