I’m looking at these valve covers from Holley and it mentions that they’re compatible with Gen I and Gen V coil bodies. I have a crate GMPP LS3/430. Do you think I’d have a problem installing these covers, or would I need to look at swapping coils? Thanks.
I think the biggest issue with those valve covers is having to remove the cover to add oil. Seems like more hassle than it's worth unless it's a show car,
I put those covers on my dad's Impala. They needed to be modified a bit to clear things. I would recommend getting the LS1 D580 coils because they won't protrude out from the valve cover holes. The Gen IV coils will, which can make getting the covers on and off tricky depending on the engine bay.
