Knock sensor location, will this work?

Knock sensor location, will this work? I mounted my knock sensors on the side of the block. The right side is screwed in where the ac compressor used to mount. For the left side I removed the side altenator's mount and used that spot. Both are toward the front of the block vs in the middle. The headers would be way to close to them if I moved them farther back on the block. Let me know what you think.

Knock Sensor Mounting You can use the LS7 sensor mounting holes if you retap them. I believe that this is where Katech and some of the other shops mount them when using an LS2/7 case with the LS1/6 electronics. My adapter harness (Katech) seems to be made for this location, too.
The starter side will be close, so you may have to leave that side out until you mount the starter.
It may be that with sensors that are mounted too high (close to the top of the cylinders) , they could pick up valve train noise (on a radical grind w/heavier springs) and you could get some unwanted k.r.
