l92 or ls7?!

l92 or ls7?! ok...probably super stupid question for most of you, but i dont know the answer, so im asking it. Ive got a 6.0 lq9 block. now i was going to go with the l92 heads with the l76 intake, but do the ls7 heads and intake flow better then the l92\l76 setup? or can the ls7 stuff even fit on a 6.0 block? any help from you guru's would be great...i get ubber discounts at my local gm dealer (dont ask how) so id just like to know before i go spend some money

hmm....2 differant answers! lol well thats good gets us all thinking.....anybody know off the top of your head what the differance in flow #'s are? or am i just waisting my time? lol
the LS7 intake will not fit l92 heads. bolt pattern is different and ports are a little different. max bore for an 6.0L (lQ4 or Lq9) is .060 in most cases and that makes your bore 4.060" and you need larger than that for ls7 heads i believe. also ls7 heads are cnc'd. they will flow a lot better than the as cast l92's but cost at least 2x as much.

meant 6.0L (LQ4 or LQ9) going to edit and fix it my bad. and well the L92 block is alum so i am not sure how much it can be bored if any. im sure it can go .010 though. dont know much about them, havent got to mess with one yet...

Will the LS7 heads bolt onto an L92 block? YES, kind of...optimal? NO! It's kind of like putting the L92 heads on an LS1/6 block. They'll bolt on, but clearances are not good.

Go with a set of WCCH L92's they will flow 355/245 without a pipe and easily outflow the L76 intake. Take the money you saved and put it towards a Wilson Billet intake. I probably have one in next winter's plan.
