Default Huge vaccum leak on back of L76 intake

I thought it was strange before I intalled the intake, but I still installed it. But the hard elbow on the back of the L76 intake that connects to the brake booster is able to move around in and out of the intake. Is there a way to lock it in place so that no air can leak out. I have a huge vaccum leak in this place which is causing my rpms to sky rocket upon startup.

I would not play around with it. Cal whoever you bought it from and have them swap you one out.

If you look at the back of the intake where the brake booster hose is connected, you will see that the hard elbow is part of a circular peice that is independent from the intake. This entire peice is able to turn and slide in and out of the intake. It has to seal up some how. Im guessing that maybe its simply somthing like it has to be pulled all the way out and rotated a bit to lock it in place, but I dont know for sure.
Maybe it's missing an "O"-ring ? RTV would seal it.

Default figured it out

I cant believe I didnt see it before, but the responces I have been getting made me take a closer look and sure enough it is cracked. I called the sponsor on getting a new one, but I would have to wait until UPS gets through with there investigation claim before I could get a new one. So I bought another complete intake and have to wait for UPS to look over mine and then I will be credited. Which could be several weeks. I also had to pay $60 for 2nd day air because I need my car running by the weekend. This kind of sucks. I get a part in the mail that is broke and now I have to buy another one even though it is no fault of my own.

I always inspect everything I receive immediately, to check for damages. I know how you feel, my SW C5R lights were damaged over 3 months ago and I'm still waiting to get them.

My C6 seats were damaged by FedEx and I am still working with them and it's been over 3 weeks.

It really sucks how these shipping companies treat customers packages.
