L92 heads on FI 402
Be looking threw the treads about the L92 heads. I have a few questions I didnt find. Is the deck surface thicker than a stock 6.0 head? What is the angle of the valves? Also I want to run an EFI carb intake. Is GM the only one that makes it? Do they make one ready for EFI, or do you have to convert it?
Thanks - Ron

The deck thickness is the same as all the other production GM castings. It's about a 1/2" thick on average.
The L92's have the same valve angle as stock LS1's. It's 15º of angle to be exact.
Gm is the only one that offers an as cast carb style intake at the moment. They make it for both EFI and non EFI setups. The part number for the EFI intake is 25534416.
There are a couple of companies that make 4bbl EFI ttbs. Edelbrock makes one that has the GM Delphi IAC and TPS and is a plug and play for cable operated cars and trucks.
Hope this helps.
Good luck with your project,
Richard

Thanks Richard! How about LS7 rods? Are they the same lenth as LS1 rods? How about strenth? Are they "H" or "I" beam? I hear they are made out of titanium, and priced at $85.00 each??
Also, what is the price on the EFI intake? does it come with fuel rails? I couldnt find it in Sdpc web site.
Thanks - Ron

I would not use the factory titanium rods because they are not that strong and also GM released the rods real cheap and then the price went up to over $300 each. The L76 intake is $528.95 with the drive by wire throttle body and $828.95 with the billet cable drive throttle body.
