L92 valve cover bolts

I have a 98 firebird so it originally had perimeter bolt valve covers. I am now finishing installing a L92 headed 6.0l. I bought a set of later style centerbolt valve covers with bolts off of a member here. I went to install them and the bolts aren't long enough. do i have to buy special bolts for L92's, or did i get the wrong bolts? From what i can tell measuring with calipers i would need bolts about 50mm long, the ones i have are probably half that.

L92's with LS1 Rocker Covers

My stock '00 LS! covers fit my L92 heads after I removed the baffle.

The covers fit fine the bolts just aren't long enough
