There was talk of building the LS7 version awhile back but I talked to a Wilson rep and was told that there wouldn't be alot of improvement over the factory piece. He said that it was going to be pretty tuff to top GM's with a little porting.Traver

If you can hardly believe it I spoke with someone at FAST (sorry don't know about Wilson) and they said about 4 months.

They had a 92mm FAST that I saw at PRI. Not sure what the purpose of the extra 2mm unless this is the L92 intake. I didnt think to look at the ports as I assumed that it was for the standard cathedral port heads.

Wilson is the company that designed the "intakes", F.A.S.T finances the deal.

I didn't quite understand the extra 2mm myself. I am assuming more plenum volume and possibly more and needed work to the intake runners.

my FAST 90 is off the car right now, i was looking at it last night.....if you look inside the top shell on the inside of the TB opening, there's material there that looks like it would amount to 2mm if ported out some.....

i wonder if the 92mm FAST is just a revised 90mm piece, or if the runners are actually any different....

My understanding is that the Fast 92MM intake is revised in the inside as well. We spoke at length about this with the comp reps at PRI.

what i was told at sema and pri, by fast, is they are working on a manifold as we speak, he said is going to be compatible with either ls7 or l92 by switching out the bottom pieces of the manifold. he also told me that they are way behind, and he would be surprised if it was done by next sema of 08'

Tuff to improve on the LS7 intake when it already outflows a Fast 90mm.

I suspect a 100mm snout on a LS7 is where the most improvement will be, which I'm working on with Canadian Performance to fabricate.

The new manifold is 92mm. They will probably phase out the 78mm and 90mm. The new manifold will be a different design and they will have lowers that will fit ALL of the different heads out there. There wil also be an upper to fit the trucks.
