I am building a 408 to go in my Camaro, its currently a v6, but I'm replacing all the suspension anyways so I don't believe that to be a problem. my question though is instead of having to drill new spots for the sensors and what not could I just use a LS2 wiring harness and ECU? I'm going to have to have it reprogrammed anyways. or would I be better off just getting a Painless?

You would be a lot better off integrating a stock harness. Painless is way too expensive. What reluctor wheel is on your crank, for the 408?

well that will largely depend on which way i go ls2 or ls1 haven't ordered the crank yet

If you go with a 24X reluctor crank, you can pick up a harness off ebay. They are there almost all the time. I have a spare that I am going to mod for a conversion setup, when I get time. Let me know if you need help with yours, when you get it.

just like a normal LS1 harness? wont i have to drill holes and crap in it for the sensors?

I don't understand why a different type of harness would cause you to have to drill holes for sensors.
