tried to start the 408 today

Default tried to start the 408 today

today i tried starting the 408 today and it started for a sec then immediatly died then it just backfires real loud so i didnt try after the 2nd time

heres a few things im thinking
old/bad gas the gas is from november and my compression is now 11.4:1 now

didnt have the o2's plugged in but my car started last year without headers with just the ls1

the cam was degree'd

heres a video/s

i just wanted to get a couple ideas before i put the o2's and some fresh 94 in it


the o2's i have are from a corvette but the connector is different so im gonna cut and splice

i got
1 light brown heater?
1 purple pcm?
2 light brown power and ground?
its open headers here

cam specs are high 230 duration 6xx lift and a 114 lsa

Cam sensor, if it's backfiring while trying to start then it's probably 180 out.

I think the coil packs are wired wrong and it is firing out of order.

Backfiring and Tach not working ?

Swap the outer wires for the cam sensor.

crap well what color wires go to the map cause i had to lengthen them for the l76 intake and thought i had the right ones, i thought the cam sensor can only go in one way or it wont bolt down

the tach does work

so i did some thinking and remembered

my block is a gen 3 style 6.0 block the cps is on the side of the block, my tuner said just try some fresh gas

They make a wiring harness that will work with the l76. Its plug and play also.
