help please! will l92 heads work with lq4 block I've been reading about the l92 heads and was wandering if they will work with lq4 block? I know it will require the right intake but if it will thats the way I am going. Thanks
You have to run a small cam. If you run anything "big" it will hit valves. Diamond pistons sells pistons for the l92 heads on a 6.0 block. If you run a LQ9 that has dished pistons then it can be a little larger. I had to research this before I pulled the pistons on my motor.

Several aftermarket companies have L92 specific pistons. I run the Mahles.
Car craft ran a carb'd LQ4 with L92 heads and a comp cams XR281HR cam, (228/230 @ .050", .571/.573" lift, 112 LSA) with no problems. It made 550 hp @ 6,800 rpm.

I have 1400 miles on the one in my sig with no problems so far. Still haven't dynoed it yet and just got my dr's a couple of days ago, so no stirp data. Now I need new tires with more backspacing, never ending fricking circle.
