Ls7 Manifold Height??

Ls7 Manifold Height?? No guessing here!
I have very critical hood clearance. Have any of you builders concisely measured the finished/ built height of the LS7 vs. LS6 manifolds? It appears by looking that the LS7 mani may be a scoshe shorter...but are looks deceiving? THANKS IN ADVANCE, Dave

Looking at the LS7 manifold from the front, draw a vertical line through the throttle body opening, from the top to the bottom of the manifold is 139mm or 5.47 inches high. if you have a LS1 or LS6 intake available you could compare this measurement.

This may not be as easy as I thought...I am coming up with appx. 150mm net height with the LS6 manifold. I measured from the machined surface on the top of the block (right next to throttle body / drivers side) laying a staightedge accross the top of the runners. I then subtracted 10mm to account for the cast vally cover and gasket. It would be great to hear from someone with both LS6 & LS7 manifolds already off the motors. Thans, Berg
