It's a 408, around 12:1 compression ratio.

I run spiral flows over the axle and it's loud but it doesn't drone bad, and I haven't had any issues yet even when parked next to a cop at a stop light. This is for a 408 with 12:1.

I also have some Dynatech split flows that I run right off the headers for track use and they're are suprisingly quiet at idle and part throttle. I would think that they would be pretty tame if they were run all the way out the back

Spintech has a great line of mufflers for the fbodys. Any size inlet and outlet. Spintech is used with the Mufflex 4"catback system. If someone is in need let me know.

I can confirm that the modified super 44's with the 3.5 inch pipe in and out is no restriction at all, I dropped the exhaust off the car this past weekend and the car didn't go any faster with it off then it did with it on.

I did go faster, but that was another change I made that netted the results, intially off the trailer it ran the exact same, 9.8x @ 139 like it has all season.

I am going to see if I can find a muffler shop that will at least clamp some on and let me hear the difference. I need a pretty dramatic change without hurting the performance.

What rims are you running on your car. Those are nice looking...

I run dumped Dynomax bullets on my 418 car and it sounds amazing, soundslike someone just unleashed hell. I am also thinking about changing to a dynomax setup on my WS6

Mine sees DD action usually 2 days a week. I dont mind it at all but I am kind of crazy like that

Yeah that's no joke. It's a little much for a daily driver however.

I have done alot of research into this for my 430 LS7 with ATS Tri-Y headers and 3" exhaust. I settled for the Flowmaster 50's but was strongly considering Borlas. Car Craft did an extensive research article on about 30 mufflers comparing loudness and HP/TQ, the Borlas were #1 in quietness and ranked very high in the HP/TQ catagory.

I believe they were the Pro XS. I have a copy of the listing at home and will check on it this weekend to make sure. In the meantime I will try to hunt down the article.

It was a Borla XS. I posted the article on the thread "muffler testing"; check it out.

My DMH cutouts lost power and TQ on the dyno. But they sure are cool!
