Default rod bolts in an L92/LS3

For an engine that will see 6500 rpm max. do you guys recommend upgraded rod bolts on these engines? I wasn't sure if this was like LS1's where it is a good investment to upgrade. Thanks.

The GMPP LS3 crate engines (LS3, LS376/480, LS376/515 & CT525) use stock rod bolts and they have a recommended max RPM of 6600-6700. Chances are you'll be fine at 6500.

It never hurts to be too strong, but it always hurts to be too weak.

There are numerous shops reving the LS3's out to 7k over on corvetteforum. I, so far, have had no issues reving to 65~6600rpm. I honestly don't think you would have even the slightest problem. I have yet to hear of a failure on these motors related to the rod bolts. However, if you want cheap insurance, go for it.
