Default Difference between L92 and LS7 piston?

Getting ready to purchase TFS heads for solid roller application, however my current build is LS7 block with Diamond 4cc relief L92 pistions. Is there a difference in were the reliefs are put between the 2 pistons? I guess my question is I had figured my PTV clearance was fine with the old setup but now with different heads how is that going to affect that? Thanks for any help you can offer.

The valve angles of the heads are different. L92s use a standard 15 degree and LS7 heads use a 12 degree valve angle. The reason L92 pistons reliefs were designed was because of the extremely large intake valves. Your description of TEA heads isn't very descriptive since they port so many different heads. If you mention exactly what heads you are going to use I could help you more.

many pistons now days are cut for 'multi pocket'...ie ls7, l92, ls1/6

fyi if you remove them from the motor, you can have them cut at your friendly local machine shop (or send back to diamond) for different valves.

They'll work with a lot of room to spare. It's always a good idea to measure PtV clearance though when installing a new setup.
