Default LQ9 Machine work Questions

Im working on building a lq9 block the deck surface needs to be cut .015 and im not very familiar with these block how much is safe can cut off the deck and what would the 0 deck be for this block

.015 isn't all that much for a 6.0 block. Out of all the blocks i've machined i've taken anywhere from .010" to .020"

How did you determine that .015" needs to be taken off?

0 deck is gonna depend what stroke, rod length, and piston compression height you end up using.
