Default ls7 vs. lq9

i know you cant really compare the two engines as the ls7 is a far better motor power for power but i am 19 years old and money is the factor so i just had a some questions and it will determine my decision on what i should do all input accepted .... so i have someone who parts out motors and he has 2 that he is trying to sale to me 1 is a complete lq9 out of an 05 silverado ss for $1200 or a ls7 out of an 05 zo6 without wiring harness and computer for $4500 i have 4500 saved up and these motors will be going in a 92 camaro currently with a stock 350 in it so bottom line which would be a smart move i could get the lq9 and use the remaining money on add ons or get the ls7 and have have it stock for some time because i am rich lol and 1 of my main goals is to beat my brother 06 gto

1. Punctuation is your friend
2. There was no 2005 C6Z
3. I would go with the LQ9 due to the price difference and the fact that it comes complete w/ harness, ecu, etc.

Your 19, don't blow all your money on a motor.

agreed, no such thing as a 2005 z06 and an lq9 will hold up more power than FI!

lq-9 work the heads and a throw in a cam and you will have ls-7 power for less than half the price.

if it is a true ls7 i believe that is a pretty good price. at that price and performance level its hard to beat the reliablity and smoothness of a stock motor. and to say you have an ls7 would be cool

You still don't have it quite right. You're getting closer. I think all '05 vettes were C6's and came with the 400 hp. 6.0L LS2. LS7's showed up in '06 along with the C6 Z06 option. 7L 500hp.

lol its probably an ls2 then. i wouldnt get the whatever it is motor either way, considering you keep getting false info on it. just take the lq9 since you can get the wiring harness with it etc.
