LQ4 vs. LY6 blocks what is different?
I have a 2008 LY6 engine that I want to build like the Car Craft budget build

gmpp 4bbl intake, 750 carb
gm hot cam & springs
hooker lt headers
MSD 6012
modified camaro pan
I know the LY6 has the 823 L92 heads with VVT
We plan on changing the front cover and timing set to the LS2 style

what is different on the block?
are there any oil passages that are different?
how about the lifters-retainers?
any other issues?
