Default Dart 225 or Cartek 5X

I currently have a set of Cartek 5X heads just about to ready to go. I have an option to get a great deal on a brand new set of untouched Dart 225's. Im in the process of building a 403 and throwing around the idea of a solid roller. Looking to do an all out max effort motor that see's minimal street driving and track time. The idea of a hydraulic roller is not out of the question yet.

Looking to run about 11.4-11.6 compression.
Going to something different with rockers also. Got a full set of Jesel shafts with a 1.6 ratio fully adjustable.

Looking for some opinions on these 2 head choices. There wasn't much info on the cartek 5x head. Thanks
Carteks head flows the following
Intake 100 200 300 400 500 600 700
67 142 204 253 294 313 285
Exhaust 100 200 300 400 500 600 650
54 117 164 196 212 219 221

I run the Dart 225's on my 416, however.... they are made to fit LS1 size bore, so therefore you are losing out thanks to the valves being shrouded by the smaller bore. I opened mine up by using the bigger head gasket as a template and matching the combustion chambers, i also cc'd each one so i got the desired combustion ratio. While there i blended the bowls as it looked like rats had originally done it!, there were also quite large ridges where the valves were cut in, so i smoothed those. Then to finish it off i took the casting marks off the runners and thinned out the area around the exhaust valve guide. Sorry no flow figures.

Can't go wrong with a Cartek product.
I have no experience with the Dart stuff.

Bret Bauer says they need a VJ and bowlwork right outta the box. When properly ported and with good bowl work though they rank up there with any cathedral port head. IIRC Bret and the late Joe Mendelis could get them to flow 350+ at .700
You have a GREAT head when you have the T4P CNC job + Bret's hand work but you gotta want it cause the best is never cheap.

cartek heads are nice heads, but the darts have more potential, and i think should give you more power out of the box, cant go wrong with either, but for all out effort in these 2 options, darts are the way to go
