I'm just curious when building up an engine is there ANY reason why you shouldn't mis-match brand names when putting internals together? Or are you perfectly safe?

ex: Wiseco pistons, Eagle rods, Callies crank

I know this is a really bad newb question but there is something about it that just makes me slightly nervous without reason...

 

It's fine as long as the important dimensions fit.

Well some things dont mix well. Some pistons dont like some rods so there is a little more to it than that.
