Default New Heads for LS1 or LS3 Conversion

Just wanted to know what all is entailed in swiping out the OLD LS1 and go with an LS3 engine. Or should I keep the LS1 and get heads. What is the potential for an LS3 Thanks.

Well, in stock-ish GM form, a hot cam'd LS3 = 480 HP. The ASA cam gives 515 HP. This is on a stock engine with just a cam and springs. Good luck on that from an LS1 with cam/springs.

The only real thing you need is a cable driven TB, the bracket for the throttle cable, the knock/cam extension harness, the 58x - 24x converter and that will get you very close. It does come with the vette balancer on it and water pump, so you would have to change that out for the Fbody accys, but that isnt a big deal. Just use a powerbond underdrive to get some more ponies out and it comes with a free SDPC hi perf bolt and the exact belts to match for anywhere from $209 shipped.

We have all of that here and ready to go.

IF you just want some heads....wow we have many to choose from as well.

so doing a ls1 to ls3 swap should be a big difference in power and torque that should be real cool i didnt think it would go in a f-body i thought it would take alot of mods...

basically same architecture, why not? its not like putting the BBC in an SBC place
