Default cam sensor problem?

2001 trans am ls1 motor in 1968 firebird. I stroked the engine to 383, from the very first start I' ve had a cam sensor problem? Replaced sensor, sensor plug, checked wiring to computer. The car runs good for about 3-4 minutes at cold start up, then won't run past about 2400rpm after that. my tuner recorded a 20 minute ride. It showed a spike(no signal) from cam sensor. He says it might be the computer. any ideas? Thanks

Does the sensor wire run directly to the pcm or does it loop to a connector by the egr or r/f head. If you havent already, ensure that 5v and sig wires arent swapped.

Default LS-1 vs LS-2 cam sensor Power/Ground

The Power/Ground wires need to be switched.
