408 Built - What push rods? I just got a 408 short block built (LS2) with wiseco dished pistons -6cc im running a custom grind cam 238/241 .617/.638 on a 114 LSA and patriot heads with 12 to 1 compression ratio. I was wondering if i used stock length for the push rods??? im going to check the clearance but i dont wanna go back and forth to the shop to pick up push rods. Anyone got any ideas
The pushrod length depends on your exact setup. Buy an adjustable pushrod checker to measure the exact length needed. It's easy to do and will give you the piece of mind knowing the valve train was setup properly.
I would get and adjustable and measure, and then try to get thicker wall pushrods for your setup.
I bought the Comp .105" wall pushrods, instead of the .080" that typical of the aftermarket. Comp has .080" and .105"s so you have to make sure to get the right part number.
