I can run my car down to 600RPM in 6th and pull off cleanly. Putt through the neighborhood in 4th gear at 25MPH. No bucking - no surging at all. OL at idle and CL abouve that. Runs perfect!

I've seen a **** ton of bad cam selections for L92's.Just redid a 402ci with L92's. A sponsor sold a H/C setup for him and the car would idle like crap, drivability down low sucked and a huge dip in power across the midrange.Cam ended up being a 238/240 on 112. We changed it to a 228/240 and gained 20hp/20tq across the rev range, smoothing out the dip and the car idled/drove like stock.

I too went small and larger split. I have Lingenfelter CNC LS3 heads and my cam is a Comp LSR, 219/235 .607/.621 on a 113. Should have it back up and running soon.

right now i have a 232/246 115+4 and down low it is very choppy. if im in 6th gear and below 2200 rpm, its surging and bucking a bit. makes me hate the car and just want to buy a new z06 and leave it alone. maybe I should try a smaller cam like you all have. Should i run alot or little of overlap

i currently run a 416 with ported L92 heads

The E38 is tough to deal with because of PCM limitations, same combos built for 411 boxes, the combos are much tamer. The E38 has a lot of control, and it likes to use it

I run a ported LS2 90mm. I'll worry about something larger when the FAST 102 comes out.

WKMCD,

I know you dont really want to post your specs of your current cam, but may be helpful if you post the ones you did in the past and the variances in them.?

First cam was a big split but the compression was to high - 12:1 - to add enough timing for it to work well. Second cam was a 234-240 112 +0 XE-R cam that worked very well. The new cam just works better.

What kind of numbers do you think you will put down with that cam?

I have always posted my cam specs

232/236 600/600 113lsa which is different than 99% of the people with L92 heads.

But.......

Kind of hard to argue with the hp and timeslips I have considering it is a stock LS2 bottom end and it is in a GTO that weighs a ton and still has the stock tranny and IRS.

It's not the cam that gives you good numbers it's the tune that Vengeance did.

Hes like me, I guess. I hate named camshafts. "Vindication" "GX5003RP50" "Anayalator v2.53" "Stage 18".

People use the names but never give the specs, which is the only important part, who cares about the name! The name is for marketing, PERIOD. Hes just making fun of them.

You did good to get this info. WKMCD aka JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE seems to work with Jack Bauer and CTU regarding cam specs.

But yeah... he needs to keep it a sercet only those that join the club can get true vodoo cam specs. For the price of admission.

Sorry for the typo guys. It was a 234-240 112 +0 XE-R cam.

The JT cam is really just calling BS on people who buy cams based on names and "I want it to lope hard at idle" mentallity regardless of whether it makes "good" power. I couldn't think of a more rediculous name for a cam.
