aaaaahhh!! so much info here.

I know everyone is going to like what they have.

I wish there was some independent testing done.

if I get those afrs I'll be on my stock ls2 manifold.. that is going to choke a lot of power i presume??

I've spent hours..days.. almost a month researching heads and all I get is that people like what they have..

I still have no idea what I'm going to go with.

and you said he is selling them? I'm confused.

and the l92 thing... I hear they are great flowing heads but you have to go to an l76 intake. which I hear is extremely constrictive..

the L76 flows about the same as the fast 90 unported both around 300cfm and fast is coming out with a new intake LSXR 102mm you can use a 90,92,95mm or you can go carb style intake or expensive sheetmetal

ps no he is not selling them he had the 408 with patriots and now he has prc 237cc with a different motor

haven't nailed down the cam yet. builder is going to build the cam around the motor. which we now have mapped out. I will no cam specs this afternooon.

I will be running the stock ls2 TB, I've not heard anything bad about it..

Sean welcome to the ls1tech board. Glad you've chosen us for your short-block & I'd be more than happy to help you select a cylinder head. We're working on finishing up our new engine dyno facility & I'd be more than happy to work with you to get that short-block you purchased on the dyno for some cylinder head testing. We have a open dyno policy, we're always willing to help test products & compare products with the customer. That's the best way for us to keep on top of the market & make sure we build the best possible products. If you'd like to come down we can see about setting up your short-block on the dyno & testing it with a few different cylinder head combinations. A little bit of testing never hurts! We bought this dyno & built the room for just this type of situation, there's absolutely no better way to compare than on the same motor, same day, one change at a time!!

I'd seriously look into an L92/L76 combo. You can have CNC heads with .650 valve springs and manley valves for $800 from SDPC, then another $400 for LS3 intake, fuel rail, and injectors (more than enough for your setup). With a proper cam spec'ed to it, it should be right at 500rwhp with supporting mods, all for $1200. Add the price of a good set of LS6 heads, TFS, AFR, PRC and the cost of a 90/90 and the cost of new injectors....you'd be saving a ton of money. Plus, you'll be using a cam with less overlap than a cam you'd need to make the same power from other heads. Driveability will be TONS better than the other heads. Now granted your power may be down 20-30 hp, but you'd save will over a couple of grand, and have stock-like drivability.
