do you have the ls1/ls6 style. or just the ls1/ls2/ls6 style. this is the kit that makes up the slack in most setups right? also do you have the part number for the kit

the ones avail now (and you will see this trend happening more and more) is they use the LS2 style for both the LS2 1x and the LS1/6 because the ls1/6 doesnt care that timing tab is on the cam sprocket.

they are all the same price anyway, and the prices are posted at the first post.

as far as take up the slack...im not so sure what you are exactly saying on that.

if your selling the same cloyes set up, the 3153al has the the sproket that is all billet steel made oversized to eliminate chain slack.

they are not avail anymore in the 3153al just the 3158al. im not so sure about the oversize part. i know the chain is stonger, but as for oversize, there is a problem there. as the cam has to turn at half of crankshaft speed, they would both have to be oversized. i have not checked the physical dimentions of one to the other do give you a difinitive andwer on that one. i can check on it tomorrow and let you know though. we are a little short handed today.

all of cloyes sets that are perf oriented are billet, the A stands for adjustable and the L series is for the IRL chain. so that means it uses the 9-3153 gear set, the set is also adjustable (hex adjust) and it uses the IRL chain. all of the chain series will use the same size billet sprocket afaik, but the different in the timing tabs and or bolts holes and length of the oil pump drive are the only differences between the sets. If you have the option, i would still use the timing chain tensioner. I know on most LS1/6 that is not an option, but everything else should really have it IMO.

ya thats why i was looking at geting the cloyes set. because of the research i done on it says about how it takes up some slack that other sets have and even o.e. iam in between moding a damper to fit my block or just geting this
setup. beening at my ls2 chain setup has WAY TO MUCH slack in the chain.
