Default LS2 Rebuild: Crankshaft Question

How concerned should I be about this mark on the crankshaft journal? If you enlarge the pic then you can see the small spot where it is barely pitted...From what I understand the mark was probably made by oil stravation...Would I be correct or would a small metal shaving caused this? Oh yeah and this is the only journal that has a mark like this...Thanks for any input or advice...

Replace new crankshaft or go see your local machine shop. They might tell you how it bad or good. Good Luck

How much do you think it would be for a shop to polish that journal up? It's seems to me like it's right inbetween where the rod bearings set.

About the only good thing is it runs around the journal and not across it. I'd definatley have it looked at it may need to be ground/polished.

I got a mirco polishing cloth out and kinda wiped around it....The black line cleaned up and the small pits were left...The rod bearings don't even touch it....I don't think it should be a problem....
