window shopping . looking for a 1000rwhp capable short block .
ok im just doing a lil window shoping and research right now . looking for a solid 1000rwhp capable iron 408 short block .. already have the turbo(s91) .
what kind of internals would be needed for my goals ? trying to stay away form some of the cheaper products , my budget is about 5-6k for a bare short block .
people that are making 1000rwhp who built the short block and how much was spent on it ?
anyone running my projected goals on a tsp 408 ?
will be ready to place a order in the the next month or so venders convince me !

We can set you up with an HKE precision built 408 to suit your needs. Give me a call or pm me and I'll call you. I work with Erik very closely to spec out and build what you need. Weighing part cost with application very carefully to give the customer the best engine for their money.

Question...what kind of crank power do you think a Iron 408, with ported truck heads, truck manifold reversed, LS2 intake, ported TB, E85 gas (105 octane), and big single (like a S91 or so) could make. Assuming a big hyd. cam, something that could be put into a street/race car (like a Camaro or mustang with PG tranny and 9 in rear)?????????

Bigger is always better IMHO. You could do a nice 434 and slap that turbo on it ! $6610 for our LSX 434 and we've got a few LSX blocks in stock right now

Is that the GM LSX iron or a resleeved aluminum?

the last two we did were iron, and the only explanation I can offer as to the price is that, that is what the owner dictated we are to charge for that specific package.

I can say slim to none on a TSP 408 putting out 1000 rwhp. I have a tsp 408 and besides the rings not seating right I put down shy over 430 rwhp NA. Same top end on a local 408 build guy put down 480 rwhp.
