is it worth it Ok my mods are in my signature. Should i go 383 or should i get and ls2. If i get an ls2 can i just drop it in my 2000 camaro or will i need to do other things to it to make it work. What cost more, and how much does each cost
Ls2 Prolly cheaper to grab a LS2, or even a truck 6.0 (though Iron) n the diff in power output would be minimul.
Only things you'll have to change is the location of the knock sensors and extend the harness. Also extend the harness for the cam sensor as that's on the fornt cover of the LS2. Everything else will bolt right up. Use all ur F body acc.
Oh, you'll have to make sure you get an engine with a 24X crank wheel. But those converters are available to change that.

I've got a 383 right there in Texas waiting for a home right now.. $3775 for the shortblock or $7000 for a long block with AFR 205 heads on top and a custom ground HKE cam.
Our 403 is around $4875. The 383 is less money but if you go to an LS2 as stated above you will need a conversion kit for about 300-350 with the harness extensions.
