We have several good options for you guys looking for a 427 on a budget. Ideally the LS7 block setup would probably give the car the best valve if you decide to sell it. That being said a LS3/L92 427 would be a close second.
Give us a call or shoot us a PM. I'd be happy to put together a VERY compeitive quote for you on your 427.

Well, I think our 427" falls into a "budget" category....$4500 4.125 bore x 4.00 stroke, aluminum block (dry sleeve)
We use Compstar crank and rods, wiseco pistons...all good parts. SO, while it is a "budget" shortblock ($$$$) we use top end parts.
hard to touch that price.
You can check it out on my site (see sig) here:

Any questions, let me know...
thanks

Do you have to supply the aluminum block?

Yes, we need a LS2/3/92 core
That is correct
Yes, core block needed....LS2/3/92
No, we need a core. LS2/3/92
Well, I still believe it is a budget motor, as you can pick up LS2 block's (if you don't already have one) for $300-$500 used. Reason we charge $1200 for a core is because we source a brand new one from GM, as we don't have teh time to seach/look for used one's.
So, if you already have a block, then teh shortblock is still only $4500. If you need to locate a block, you can pick up a used one and we can build your shortblock with that. Does not matter condition of cylinders, because they get taken out anyways (dry sleeve it for you).
Then you have a shortblock that is overbuilt for teh street, and a real nice track shortblock (good for @ 1200HP). With the big bore we use, to get the cubes, you don't have to worry about oil consumption (like on longer stroke/small bore 427's), or whther or not you can use a power adder. Our shortblock, you can spray it and boost it all day long!
Any other questions, let me know, thanks

I'm in no way trying to cause a pissing match between sponsors cause you guys obviously both have great pricing and I'm just trying to gather all the pro's and con's for each option.
Schwanke's price includes shipping
Morris' site says $150-$200 shipping
I am very interested in the advantages and disadvantages to the differences in bore / stroke. so if you guys could chime in on that.
Also, if I were to supply a block to Schwanke would it help the price any?
