Noob Motor questions. Well Im thinking of building a LS based motor for my future project car and have been kinda lurking on here reading. I am thinking about doing a LQ4 6.0 block with L76 intake and L92 heads, also a cam (not sure which size yet). Im thinking this combo should make decent power N/A. Now I want this to be a n/a motor but I will also be spraying it. How much power can a stock LQ4 short block take? Is this even the best combo for a nitrous motor? If I pieced this motor together would a used ls1 harness/pcm work? what one would I need? Im basiclly trying to build a decent motor that can handle a 200ish shot for a summer till I can afford to pull in and forge it all.

200 shot and not forged??? Hmm.....probably not going to last. Build to your goals. Taking short-cuts will cost you more in the end. At the very least, look for some used forged pistons and rods. The crank can live, but the pistons won't.
