What Starter to use in 408

Default What Starter to use in 408
Hey guys... Finished putting the 408 together and while i have it on the cart i hooked the jump pack to the stock starter and.... well needless to say i do not think it is going to cut it. What is the best route to go.. This motor is 10.5 to 11:1 do you think it is nessacary to buy a mini stater? Anyone with 408 using stock and not having problems?

What starter you trying?? Ive read that the 6.0L is a 1.6kW piece when lots of the others are 1.2kW. I am wondering what a LS9 starter is, its probly a potent starter.

I just had a stock ls1 starter. It has been sitting around for awhile but i dont want to let the smoke out it tring to crank this thing over

I used the Summit Starter for LS1 engines work fine!

I have no problem with my old LS1 starter. Cranks just fine with 11.2 cr...

My stock '98 starter does just fine on my 370ci with 12:1 compression.
