yeah they look damn good, definitely not "hogged out"

can't wait to get the setup running and see what it does...I'll be leaving quite a bit on the table w/ the stock lq4 bottom end compression wise but hopefully w/ the VA spec'd cam she should still run good:D

Glad they made it! Let us know if you need anything else and how they do once you get them put on! :D

Thanks!

thanks Jon, and will do once she's together...still waiting on a few odds and ends and a cam and converter.

she'll be no dyno queen w/ the 4l80E but the ET's will make it up!

What was the total price you ended up with?

$1340 shipped to my door w/ hollow stem valves.

-$180 for standard valves.

That's it! I looked on texas speed's site and I thought the price was for each head. Texas Speed you need to change the site to mean the price is the pair.

Texas speed you will be getting a call tomorrow.

yeah so did I at first...did a search here and it was cleared up...I agree the wording is a tad confusing just call them!

Out of curiosity. Why no chamber work?

The chambers on these heads look good out of the box (stock). Have to see it in person...

Got a question for you. I see you didn't get them assembled. Could you just put the springs on and run them? I got some TSP heads non-assembled and just slapped on some springs and ran them. I assumed that the valve seats were already worked to make sure they seal properly?

Jon@Texas-Speed 10-12-2009 10:25 PM

Every head is CNC valvejobbed and valves back-cut along with vacuum testing to ensure the valves seal prior to shipping. This allows the customer to order the heads without springs in the event they already have springs they plan on running. They can simply install springs and put the heads on the motor. :)

Looks like I'll be sending down my stock heads to TSP to get ported over the winter!!

Can I just send in my L92's that I already have and let you port them and put in the hollow valves and higher lift springs in them instead of buying another set of heads.
