IIRC theres supposed to be a small frost plug in the crank snout thats sealed in with some silicone type stuff from the factory. Not sure why it would be missing... Has the engine ever been apart?

I don't think oil on that bolt is an issue. It is within the timing cover/oil region and I believe the SLP is made by Powerbond which has a keyway machined into the hub giving the oil a path to the bolt. Mine was well oiled when I last removed it as well. The oil is sealed by the underside of the bolt head (stock bolt).

The cam cover has been off before but the motor has never been fully torn down. I put some aftermarket goodies on last year and now im installing a superchager and a different cam. Thats when i noticed the oil on the bolt.
