thickest pushrod in a LS3 block/head?

thickest pushrod in a LS3 block/head? How thick of a pushrod can I use with these components without massaging the block or head? 3/8? 7/16? Can it be straight or does it need to be tapered in a specific manner? Head will be milled about .030 if that matters.
Ive heard the 3/8 fit with stock heads. I tried them with my morel lifters and they did not fit . I am not sure if the stock lifters would have made a difference. Hope that helps

I've used 3/8's in the last two motor builds (both using 5.3l heads) and there's some very minor 'polishing' on certain sections of certain pushrods upon removal. Not sure if that's acceptable? I don't recall if I had that on the OEM / Comp Cam 5/16 pushrods in the past.
