LS3 upgrade help needed
I know this topic has been beaten like a dead horse and I've found many answers I needed searching the threads but I can't seem to wrap my head around this one.
I followed ls1howto instructions on installing the cam in car with the heads on. Went great, dot to dot lined up perfect and I'm just about to switch out the springs/seats/seals/retainers and I've already installed a trunion upgrade to the stock rockers. According to ls1howto, I just throw everything at it, torque the rockers to 22ft/lbs, hand turn the engine, check'em again and then once reassembled, hand turn over a few times to check for any big mechanical issues (I'll also check piston to valve limits etc..)
is this ok or do I have to do something specific for each cylinder when installing the springs and rockers? (like moving each piston to TDC, valve heights)
I bought this as a specific replacement kit from a solid vendor so I didn't think I would need to check lifter preload, etc...for correct pushrod lengths and such. Plus how can you do lifter pre-load adjustments with upgraded stock rockers?(don't they just bolt down).
Thanks

Do the pistons need to be in a certain position when installing these or can I just put the pushrods/rockers in and as long as it torques to 22ft/lbs after 1-1.5 turns past hand tight will I be good to go?
