Default Opinions on Howards Rods

I'm building a na 408 carbed/distributor Ls motor for bracket racing. Heads and intake are Performance Inductions, Callies Dragon Slayer crank, Wiseco 13.5:1 pistons, and a Bullet solid roller cam. I'm still deciding on the rods. I know most engine builders use Callies, Eagle, and Scat rods for most builds since they are reasonable priced and appear to hold up very well. I just prefer American made cranks and rods not to offend anyone. Plus the Howard rods come with a 1 year warranty. Has anyone had any experience with these rods or used them in recent builds?

They are a good rod if you want to stay American which is a nice idea.
