Default oil pressure issues after ls2 swap

Just finished up my ls2 swap, forged rods and pistons, stock crank. Assembly/machine work on shortblock was done by SDPC. I assembled the rest, unported ls6 oil pump, G6X3 cam and l92's milled .030.

On cold start up I only have about 40 psi. When the oil is hot I have ~30psi at idle. cruising with hot oil it runs about 40-42 at 1500-2000. If I rev it, it will spike at about 50-55. This is with royal purple break in oil.

ive tried switching osu with a spare ls1 I had. Same result. To me it acts normal just ~20 psi lower than it should be. I know the most likely culprit is the pick up oring (which i was VERY conscious about when I put on). I just wanted to double check before tearing back into it. do i need to switch to an ls2 osu? Or are they the same thing.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds normal to me with a stock oil pump. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
