Default LS2 motor with LS1 harness/computer - no tach response?

hey all-

I have a 408 LS2 that is mated with a LS1 computer and wiring harness. The Autometer tach I am using is not responding - it is getting power, but never moves off 0.

I have a 12v switched source running to a 5.4k resistor, which then Y's off to the ESS output wire in the UHFB (white, C2 connector, pin A3), and to the tach signal input. Wiring is functional and shows connectivity as it should.

Running the HP Tuners scanner shows proper RPMs, etc so I know there is a signal being generated.

I noticed that LS2 motors use a high and low tach resolution of '2', where as my LS1 computer is set to 6/6. Could this be the cause of the problem?

Thanks!
