ID'ing valve springs I'm putting together a 6.0 iron block with l92 heads. The heads are nib from scoggin dickey and have been decked a little to bump the CR to 11 to 1. I'm trying to ID the springs, they have a med/dark blue stripe, single, beehive design. These sound alot like Comps 918's but did chevy ever make a design like this? I don't want to run the springs unless I can ID them, hate to destroy my new motor. I can get pics if there needed. Also the engine came with a assa 550 lift cam and everything else was hi spec, arp etc. Thanks!! |

Possible but the mounted height isn't correct. Mine are 1.82 to the top of the spring. |

If you got the L92's new then thats what the springs are, just stock L92 springs. I think they are good to about .570 lift or so. If you search around you should be able to find the lift rating. My L92's had the same springs when I bought them new. I didn't buy them but they are new from scoogin dickey, the part number on the boxes = bare head castings????? 12615361 is the number off the box, they were assembled with springs and valves when I got them. That number doesn't cross to SD anymore but it does cross to other stores as a bare head. Not sure when these were bought, prob awhile back.
