Default Another Cam Help thread...please ...??

I owned an 02 WS6 in the past and had a 224/224/.581/.581/112lsa cam in her. I loved the power and the lope of the cam. I now own an 06 GTO... Considering the GTO has a 6.0 instead of the 5.7, what cam would be closest to my old cam with the additional cubes.?

Thanks Ryan

I believe the power band on the last one started strong around 3000 rpms and held strond throughout but dont hold me to that. It put down 417/408 with full exhaust and no cats but it was an M6. Thats pretty much the same setup that I want to do only on an A4. I dont mind going bigger either since I dont drive that much, 4000 miles in the last 18 months, but I dont want a cam so big that I have to do any fly cutting or anything. Just want to drop it in and upgrade the valvetrain. Does that help any? Thanks

I've been doing alot of research on the 402/408's, I came across a A4 6.0 GTO putting down 460rwph with a V2 cam and some supporting mods, rpm range of around 1800-6200 and he daily drove it. I'm planning to try a V2 cam in a LQ9 404 in a few weeks. From what I've seen, it's a powerful off the line cam.

Do some research on the 228r cam as well, that's what I was planning to do at first a H/C/Fast 92/92 long tubes, circle-d 3400 stall, on a stock 346... but I went big instead.
