Default looking for the best cam for the LS7 motor

I am looking to change cams. I have a LS7 in my 32 ford truck. It runs good now. 6.34 in the 1/8 mile. But would like a little more power. The catch is that I am running a turbo 400 tranny. I do have a PTC stall in it now. In my old motor the cam was 261/278 @ .050 and the lift was 630/630. So the stall will accept a larger cam OK I think. I still want to be streetable. I drive the truck alot now with the stock cam and it works great. But just like everyone else. I WANT MORE POWER. But still run 93 pump gas and be streetable. Any suggestions.

Depends on your needs/goals. I went with a black mamba. Friend went with a lethal. Both are streetable cams. Sounds like you want something more. I would call some of the vendors/sponsers that sell LS7 cams and talk to them. I tried to order a lethal but the customer service was lacking so I went with the mamba.

Bada,

Give us a call and we can help point you in the right direction. You would probably be looking for something along the lines of our Punisher.

Give us a call, we stock LS7 camshafts that we've developed over the years that will work really well with stock heads or the PRC cnc ported LS7 heads.
