we are gona bore it out to 4.010" from 4.005", and offcourse new pistons

so from 402 to 404ci

If you're going out from 4.005" to 4.010, it won't be bored, just honed. Still no sweat, and it saves you the cost of boring ;D

can it not be bored out .005"
and will an just hone be as accurate

Talk to texas-speed for the pistons. Depending what dish you want they might have them in stock. I got a -10cc 4.010 bore wiseco piston and they had them in stock and always great to deal with. I just picked up my motor today looks so nice.

Everything that is bored is always finished with a hone.

Boring = rough cut to about .005" undersize

Honing = finish cut, much less material and add proper cross hatch. Last few thousanths.
