Exclamation Ptvc help!

The camshaft in my sig is pushing my valves to touch my pistons.
I need to measure at what time it is hitting the pistons - to do so, do i figure out when before and after the valves are hitting in degrees?

Just need some ideas please.

Lots of duration and lots of lift. Deeper valve notches in pistons. You do not say what pistons, heads, etc. (When you get parts at the edge of the envelope everything has to be matched up or clearance problems are the result).

At this point the cylinder heads and pistons do not matter, because they will not be changed, only the cam will be changed. The build changed, which lead to this problem.

obviously you start with the rockers off all cyls, put light weight checking springs on the intake and exhaust of #1 cyl, then install a degree wheel, find and mark TDC on the wheel. rotate engine somewhere around 50* BTDC on overlap, and install intake rocker. rotate engine very slowly up to tdc on overlap, while pushing down on the intake rocker(to open valve further than rocker manually), and when you feel the valve touch the piston top you'll know your close, so PROCEED WITH CAUTION, then continue to rotate engine while checking by pushing down the valve by hand, when the lash between the rocker and the end of the valve is zero - thats the degree where contact is made PtoV.
Repeat for exhust.
Cut valve releifs to acheive desired PtoV clearence
hope that helps

If the motor was Built to spec you would not have this issue.... your going to need to cut deeper valve reliefs
