Default This winters project (and a few questions)

Well looks like I'll be going n/a for the next year or so until I can get some money together, so the plans will be as follows (if anyone sees anything that won't work let me know)
Lq9 block 408 ci
callies crank, rods, and haven't decided on pistons yet, but looking to keep it @10.5:1 compression
Stock Ls3 heads w/springs (.650 lift if I get the set of heads I'm eyeing)
Stock ls3 intake mani for now
4:10's in the rear (stock 10 bolt for now, swapping to a 9" come spring time)
Car already has a monster clutch in it, so hopefully that hangs on for now.

whenever the trans blows up I'll be swapping to a built th350 rmvb w/brake and a 3800rpm converter.
hoping to try and break over 500whp on motor only, so we shall see. Hopefully get started on the motor in a few weeks.

Need to size out a cam, and figure out what t/b to use with the ls3 intake mani.

Will be selling the ls1 out of my car complete for @$500 .

Sounds like fun...Recommend Dragonslayer or a Compstar Crank, Compstar H beams and a Mahle piston.

That's about what I was looking at. Car will be boosted later on, but will be running E85 at that point hence the 10.5:1 compressions.

Well then, I would spend a few extra bucks and go with a Diamond!

I"ve had good luck with diamond pistons in the past, was running @600hp in a cobalt with em, blew the block apart, and the pistons came out fine.
